The road connecting 71 to HPR that was being pushed hard at Travis County by Precinct 3 Commissioner Gerald Daugherty has failed to make the grade.

Despite his last minute attempt to add a different Road at Vail Divide and another to seek to allow Precinct level flexibility, the majority of the Commission voted for a package that did not include the Reimers Peacock option.

Daugherty was the only one who voted against the whole $185MM bond package in an apparent fit of pique.
