Bee Cave to choose new Police Chief
On Monday June 30th local residents got the chance to meet the three candidates to replace Rusty Pancoast as Bee Cave Police Chief when he retires at the end of September. Here are their details:
Fireworks remain banned in both local cities
As local firework stands open for the July 4th celebrations, both Bee Cave and Lakeway have confirmed that the sale and use of Fireworks anywhere inside City is banned. In addition, many HOAs also have bans in place. The stands themselves are located outside of the cities.
Library to take over much more of City Hall
At the June 24 Council meeting, consultants hired by Bee Cave Library presented the outline of a multi stage plan to expand the space constrained Library at the front of the first floor of City Hall.
Power hiked again?
Austin Energy electricity customers can expect a 4-5% increase this fall as the impact of fuel price and other costs work through their system. Most of Bee Cave gets its power from Austin Energy - famous for its non essential budget items in downtown that cost all customers but benefit few.
