LTYA facility in trouble?
The much vaunted new LTYA facility west of Bee cave in Lakeway has run into serious financial trouble at the earliest stages.
Woman in drunk driving crash outside HEB
At around 9 pm of the 15th of September a 2002 Toyota SUV crossed four lanes of traffic and hit another car outside the Bee Cave HEB on 71. The driver was found to be extremely drunk.
Election cancelled, candidate elected
Bee Cave City Council declared the unopposed candidate Monty Parker appointed to City Council with effect from November 16th, when he will be sworn in.
City annexing more land
At it's September 8th meeting, Bee Cave City Council started the process of annexing over 500 acres of surrounding land.
City tax rate unchanged
Bee Cave City Council ratified an unchanged tax rate of 2 cents per $100. The city raises less than $500K of its $10MM annual budget from property tax, the vast majority coming from Sales tax collected from area businesses. The largest tax contributor in the area - HEB - is about to open a competing store in lakeway which may impact City income.
