SAS Concert Season - ticket deadline approaches
The deadline is fast approaching to purchase season tickets for the Spicewood Arts Society’s new concert season, offering music from toe-tapping western swing to “classical-not-classical.”
At only $125 for all five concerts, new season ticket pricing includes all five regular season performances, averaging $25 each. Purchase tickets at www.spicewoodarts.org.

All performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Spicewood Vineyards Event Center, 1419 Co. Rd. 409, Spicewood.

Matt Wilson Band ($50), Friday, September 22
Back by popular demand. Wilson delights his audiences with his deep catalog of soul, rock and gospel.
Collin Hauser and Stevie Jo Rosenbalm ($40), Friday, November 17
Hauser’s guitar, sax, and distinctive voice is backed by drummer and singer Stevie Jo Rosenbalm, a Top 20 contestant on “The Voice,” with a stand-up bass third in the trio.
Invoke ($35), Saturday, January 20, 2018
Weaving together American musical traditions from Appalachian fiddle tunes to jazz, Invoke’s unique sound refuses definition. A robust sense of humor infuses their family-friendly shows.
Hot Texas Swing Band ($35), Friday, April 6, 2018
The Hot Texas Swing Band, a six-piece band with vocalist Selena Rosanbalm, plays boot-scootin’ boogie in the tradition of Bob Wills and Asleep at the Wheel.

Mike Mordecai and Friends brings Doug Lawrence, tenor sax, Dennis Dotson, trumpet, Butch Miles, drums, and a surprise guest to the stage.
The annual SAS fundraiser, “Rockin’ the Vineyard,” takes place Saturday, February 17, 2018, with the Square Grooves. Proceeds fund scholarships for students at Lake Travis and Marble Falls high schools continuing their education in the arts. Seven scholarships were awarded this past spring.

All performances offer free parking and light refreshments at intermission including coffee and water. Wine may be purchased from the award-winning Spicewood Vineyards’ selections. No other alcoholic beverages should be brought into the Event Center.
