Dog Park issues in Bee Cave
At it's April 10th meeting Bee Cave City Council considered action on a well publicised case of one dog being injured by another dog at the Dog Park of the Bee Cave Central park.
The Police Chief admitted he had no clear picture of the volume of incidents like this and that there was no City ordinance that could be used to enforce action in such incidents.
The owners of the attacking dog have not been prosectued in any way and they have not made any form of restitution. Various solutions were proposed by a large slew of public commentators, inclduing closing the dog park, enforced leash usage and more.
Mayor elect Monty Parker pushed through action to ban the particular dog owner from the Dog Park (to be enforced by the Police Dept.) but no wide ranging ordinance or rule change was actioned.
