LTYA Updates for FOD
In a recent online announcement LTYA Jeff Johnson went into some detail on projects coming up for the LTYA:
"Here is a list of current projects in the works:
• Live Feed Video for the Softball Field, Soccer Fields and Baseball Fields (connecting you to the games even when you are unable to attend). The goal is for you to be able to watch the games while traveling, on a plane, at home or whatever the reason is that you cannot attend a game. We believe this will be great for Grandparents and other Family members who live out of town.
• Lights-Replace the temporary lights on soccer fields 2 and 3 with the latest LED technology to provide the best possible experience on the field for all skill levels and being a good neighbor with providing much less lighting pollution.
* The scope will continue as we prepare a plan to improve the balance of the lighting for all fields.
• Additional Bathroom Trailer for the soccer fields. You may have noticed the portable restroom trailer at the softball and baseball fields. Once we have had this unit in service for a few months and understand the operation aspects and challenges, we will order a second unit for the soccer fields.
• Concession Stand- There are a few challenges we have with the concession stand with not having running water, being one of the main challenges in order for LTYA to have a broader offering of food/snacks. We will be working with the Softball and Baseball Board to provide support and resources. There are several creative approaches that would enable us to provide pizza, hot dogs and maybe chicken nuggets. We feel that the key is consistency, so you know that there is an option to feed your kiddos before of after the games. Please let us know if you want to help.
• Parking Lot and Traffic-I am committed to working with the City of Bee Cave, Monty Parker and our Board/ED to determine what we can achieve to make improvements. Like yourselves, I spend time weekly driving through the FOD on a regular basis and have been taking notes on potential improvements. Scott Cronk has also put forth effort in determining where we can make improvements. We will work with the City of Bee Cave to determine what can be done to improve the current conditions.

• Continued Improvements-in the future we will also prepare a program to update signs, score board maintenance (includes painting) and pruning or trees along the driveways and parking areas."
