Barbara Hathaway sent us information on October events at Bee Cave Public Library:

KNITTING CLUB:  Thursday, October 3rd at 7 pm.  Join us for an evening of crafting & conversation.  Bring your current stitchery project, or start one from the communal yarn basket.  Meets in the library the first Thursday of each month from 7 to 8 pm.

TEEN ADVISORY BOARD MEETING:  Saturday, October 5th at 2 pm.  Get service hours by joining our Teen Advisory Board!  Spend an hour each month coming up with ideas on how to make the library a cool place for teens.  Snacks, activities, brainstorming and a chance to boss the library around—how many volunteer jobs offer that?  Open for teens in grades 6-12.  Questions?  Email Cate @ This email address is being protected from spambots. E-READER 101:  Wednesday, October 9th from 10 am – Noon, the Techie will be IN to answer your E-reader questions or help you learn to navigate OverDrive, the library’s source for free downloadable e-books and audiobooks.  Reserve a spot by calling 512-767-6626 or just drop by, but be sure to bring your e-reader or other device.  

BEE CAVE BOOK CLUB:  Thursday, October 10th 7:00-8:00 pm.  This month features a discussion of  Mortality, by Christopher Hitchens.  The BCBC is an informal and diverse group of all ages who come together to share a love of reading and relaxed conversation.  We welcome new members and invite everyone who is interested to join us, even if you haven’t read the book.  For more information contact Cate at 512.767.6626 or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
