LTE lockdown was a false alarm
On Tuesday the 13th saw a lockdown at LTE - here is the update from LTISD.
"At approximately 1:30 p.m. today, campus officials received a report that a suspicious person was present at a back door to the campus and interacted with a student. Law enforcement was immediately notified and the campus was placed on lockdown. After investigating the report, district and law enforcement officials determined that the report was completely untrue. There was no suspicious person present, and there was never a threat to students or staff.
Though there was no breach of security today, and the report was determined to be false, the LTE staff will continue to remain vigilant about protecting the security of the building and always being mindful of student safety.
We are grateful for the quick response of our local law enforcement agencies and the cooperation of our exceptional LTE staff and parent community. As always, the safety of your children is and will continue to be my top priority. Again, I appreciate your support of our students and campus community."
