Chamber ramps up to use Hotel Tax
On his faceBook page this week, Bee Cave Mayor Monty Parker broke the story of the "Buzz" campaign that the City's Chamber of Commerce plans to bring to City Council with a request for funding from the Hotel Occupancy Tax - which mu be used to promote visitors to come to the area.

City reveals final list for new lawyers
At its May 28th meeting City council voted to authorize City Manager Clint Garza to schedule interviews for the city’s new legal representation with three nominated finalists:
Travis County and Bee Cave plan annexation deal
As part of its plan to solve the low water crossing issue at The Homestead in Bee Cave, the City is entering into negotiations to do an "annexation trade" to enable them to take control of the land at the front of the development.
LTISD increases Bus Driver's pay to $20 per hour
In an unprecedented move LTISD is now offering a starting wage of $20 per hour for School Bus Drivers even during training - to overcome the current shortage of drivers and applicants. The area continues to be plagued by a conflict between the need for service workers and the very high cost of living - in a local economy with very low unemployment.
