HPR closed by floods
Monday the 25th floods were so serious that Hamilton Pool Road was closed for several hours right by Bee Cave Elementary.

Lake up 30 feet
Lake Travis has risen 30 ft in the last 30 days to a level higher than has been seen for the last 4 years.
DPS to ramp up enforcement over long weekend
The Texas State DPS has announced a significant uptick in activity to combat drunken driving and to enforce seat belt laws for the long Memorial day weekend. Increased patrols will run Friday through Monday.
Lake levels rebounding slightly
Lake Travis hit 634.5 ft today (Thursday) - its highest level for over two years and about 10 ft up this year. Rain totals in the San Saba County's primary catchment areas continue to lag behing totals in Austin itself and to the South and East. These levels are still almost 50 ft below the full level of 681 ft.
Local man in Waco charge
Juan Garcia, a Rocky Creek resident, was charged with "engaging in a criminal enterprise" during the shoot out at the Twin Peaks Restaurant in Waco and was being held on $1 million bond. Nine people died in the fire fight.
