LTHS Teacher killed in car crash

A LTHS science teacher was conirmed as the person who died in this morning's (Thursday Dec 3rd) head on collision on Highway 71 near SW Parkway at about 8am.
The District just put out this announcement:
"Dear Lake Travis ISD Parents and Guardians,
It is with much sadness and a heavy heart that I inform you that Lake Travis High School teacher Ginger Johnson lost her life this morning from injuries sustained in a car crash on Highway 71 near Southwest Parkway.
Mrs. Johnson was a beloved member of the Lake Travis ISD family since 1991. As some of you may already know, Mrs. Johnson taught Pre-AP and AP Chemistry and served as Chair of our Science Department. I realize this news is upsetting, especially for those who knew Mrs. Johnson, or whose children were taught by Mrs. Johnson.
Please know, our district crisis team has been activated at Lake Travis High School, and counselors are available to assist students and staff during this difficult time.
The LTISD family extends its deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences on the loss of our dear friend and colleague. I ask that you please keep Mrs. Johnson and her family in your thoughts and prayers."
