Major new development for Spanish Oaks
Twenty years in development, a major new residential, office and retail development looks set to occupy Bee Cave City Council and P&Z committee over the next few weeks and month.
Located at the corner of 71 and Spanish Oaks Club Boulevard this 80 acre development will sit in front of The Homestead and use the existing low water crossing as part of its road access.
This week's open house will lead to a series of events to move the project along. It is expected to consist of five phases that will eventually include:
- 500-800 rediential units
- 75,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space
- An 80 room hotel/inn
- 500,000 sq ft of office space
CORRECTION (Thanks to Mayor Monty Parker) There will be another new traffic light where the road meets 71 at a new entry point opposite "Willy Way".
Next steps include:
▪ Sept. 18: BC P&Z Commission to vote/send its recommendations to the Council.
▪ Oct. 9: BC City Council to review the P&Z recommendations.
▪ Oct. 23: BC City Council votes on PPD
▪ 2019: Infrastructure construction
▪ 2020: Building contruction starts
