Las Tablitas opens and builds
Las Tablitas Mexican Grill is a new Restaurant in Spicewood near West Cypress Hills.
The owners tell us - "Las Tablitas was created as an idea to offer the most popular dishes of the Tex-Mex Cuisine, interior Mexico dishes along with a few Central American. Our first Menu was created to be offered in the first couple of months, on the first stage of the Restaurant. On the second stage, we will count with a wider selection of grilled meats, fish, shrimp and other choices on Mexican and Latin dishes. We don't count with a liquor license yet but we will apply very soon and hopefully have it by January 2014."
Las Tablitas is owned by three partners, Lleseli Barcenas, Doris Vallejo and Fernando Sepulveda. Lleseli Barcenas has been working in the Service Industry as server for several years. Doris Vallejo has been working as Cook and Kitchen Manager for Abuelo's and Casa Garcia's, among other local Restaurants. Fernando Sepulveda has worked in Restaurants since 1984, from Bus Boy to Kitchen Manager, Executive Chef, General Manager and District Manager.
"Las Tablitas" means: "Pieces of Wood", and also means a special cut of beef short rib that nobody else has. This meat is very tender, juicy and full of flavor, complemented by the use of Mesquite Wood for a perfect seasoning. Las Tablitas is run by its three owners, which constitutes a warranty of great service and food quality. "
