Hill Country Indoor is back!
After a hiatus lasting just over a year, the Hill Country Indoor project should be back in front of Bee Cave City Council soon. Slowed by their initial financing falling through, the group has used the time to reorganize their finances and revamp the design of the $15M sports facility and complex.
The revamp involved shrinking the building slightly and flipping the position of the ball fields and the building relative to the Parkway - to improve safety and layout. It also involved reworking some colors, which City feedback had suggested they do.
They also took the time to finalize their build out details so that – once the City has given the OK – the building should be completed in little more than a year. That means the facility is expected to be open in Q3 of 2015.
The constitution of the new Council may be a factor in getting the OK for this large and widely supported project, depending on the exact timing of their hearings in front of P&Z and Council.
