July 4th at the HCG
The Austin and Bee Cave communities are invited to celebrate America’s freedom at Hill Country Galleria’s annual Independence Day Celebration. The free admission event includes live music by local bands The Watters and Vallejo, face painting and more for the kids, an all-day sidewalk sale presented by Hill Country Galleria retailers, along with the “best fireworks show in Central Texas” to end the evening. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and enjoy live music beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the newly renovated Central Plaza. Parking for the event is free.
New P&Z almost complete
As is usual after an election, the relected members of Bee Cave City Council nominated all their current members of the P&Z committee. They were named this week at the June 13th meeting.
Library Summer Reading programs
Bee Cave Public Library offers a wide variety of programming for families, teens, and adults throughout the year. Spicewood Arts Society Announces New Concert Season
Fans of all music genres will find something to like at the 2017-18 performance season of the Spicewood Arts Society, including jazz, “classical-not-classical,” and Western swing.
The season ticket price of $125 includes the five regular season performances, averaging $25 each. Tickets may be purchased at www.spicewoodarts.org.
Truck demolishes Bee Cave light
Early on Wednesday the 17th an 18 wheeler truck took out an entire traffic light pole at the junction of Highway 71 and Hamilton Pool Road just West of Bee Cave
