Council Candidates questioned on "Movie Studio" project - UPDATED
In a attempt to simplify the voter's understanding of where the five candidates stand on key issues I sent all of them a note on the morning of April 30th giving them until the end of day on May 1st to respond to this - one of three questions:
Springfest hit by competition
Held on one of busiest weekends this year, LT Chamber of Commerce's Springfest appears to have suffered in terms of attendance and vendor numbers, despite the Friday evening kids movie night being quite a winner. Attendance was described as "average" and the vendor numbers were down from last year.
LRMC under new management
The troubled Lakeway Regional Medical Center has annunced a Hospital Management Agreement which will lead to a new team taking over the day to day running of the facility. This follows a thwarted attempt to sell the facility to a larger operator.
Snow White at TexARTS
The new youth production of The Rockin’ Tale of Snow White makes its TexARTS premier for a two-week engagement at the Kam & James Morris Theatre on April 26-27 and May 3-4.
City Council Candidate forum very poorly attended
Mutliple sources are confirming that fewer than ten potential voters attended the event yesterday (Sunday Apr 27th) at which the five candidates answered questions. Although the candidate's families and sitting Council members were also in attendance, the total attendee count would suggest a very low voter turnout in the election on May 10th.
