Council elections – four weeks to go
Saturday May 10th is Election Day in Bee Cave – and a majority of four council seats are up for grabs. Early voting is Apr 28 to May 6 at City Hall and all Travis County voting locations. Election Day voting is only at City Hall.

Lakeway Drug Take-Back Apr 26
Lakeway Police Department will team up with the Drug Enforcement Administration to conduct its sixth National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 26.
The department will provide a venue for city residents and others who want to dispose of unwanted and unused prescription drugs for free at 104 Cross Creek.
Milam studio/luxury condos (corrected from apartments) push intensifies - REVISED

Chris Milam, the developer of the Super Nature Studios project, has now canceled a Q&A session for the local community on April 22nd at The Backyard. In it's place will be a town-hall style meeting on Monday, April 21st from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm for a presentation and question/answer session. The meeting will be posted so City Council can attend and listen to presentation/ questions/ answers.(Council will not be allowed to make any comments - because of open meeting rules.)
Milam's proposals have attracted criticism associated with the proposal to set a Property Tax funded Development district to help underwrite the infrastructure develpment needed. The so called PID has met with much negative commentary.
LCRA under fire from State Senator
After a standing room only meeting in Bee Cave last week to discuss the new LCRA rate structure, State Senator Troy Fraser laid into the Board accusing them of mismanaging water resources and raising rates to pay for their mistakes.
