Bella Colinas commercial strip sold
Houston based developers Rockspring Capital have purchased the 23 acre commercial strip that fronts the Bella Colinas development on Highway 71 between Hamilton Pool Road and the LTISD Transportation Center.
Library events - Feb and March
From Barabar Hathaway at Bee Cave Library: Bee Cave Public Library is offering a wide variety of programming for families, teens and adults throughout February and March. All events are free and open to the public, although some are better suited for adults or teens.
City Council "up for grabs" - Auslander update
For the first time ever, four out of six seats on the Bee Cave City Council come up for election this year. As the door opens for candidates to sign up (Jan 29 - Feb 28, Mar 10 for one year seat) the situation could not be more volatile.
BCPD hires three, promotes two
During January Bee Cave Police Chief Rusty Pancoast oversaw the swearing in of three new officers and two internal promotions. Pancoast himself will be retiring in September.
Hamilton Pool price hike
As part of a Travis County wide set of Parks fee increases, our local Hamilton Pool Preserve will set its entry fees go up from $10 to $15 per car. Pedestrian and cyclist fees remain at $3.
The new Reimer's Ranch observatory will have a fee charged but that has yet to be set. The County judge made it clear that all fee increases must be passed or none in a fairly contentious decision as the matter was debated at the Commissioner's Court.
