Masonwood developers asking for water - again?
Rumor has reached us that the WTCPUA has received a new request for almost 1800 "units" of water for the so called "Masonwood" development down Hamilton Pool Road.
It also apears that Meredith and Hatchett are also asking the PUA to waive all fees and costs asscoiated with reserving the capacity, and potentailly expanding the system.
It is still not clear if enough capacity exists and Travis County has expressed concern about any number of units above approximately 525 based on waste water outflows.
Local real estate sources have suggested that the development is not viable without the much larger number of units and this may be last attempt to get water supplied. Should this attempt fail it is expected the development plans will be dropped.
A source close to the WTCPUA tells us; "An application was received August 2 for 1137 LUEs on the other 451 acres of the tract; review fees were requested to be waived which qualifies it as an incomplete application and as such it will not be further processed."
