City and County bond/road deal
At the end of their January 28th meeting Travis County had cancelled the Bond to fund the new bridge at the entry to the Homestead in Bee Cave. Bee Cave has now annexed the strip of land involved and will be taking over the costs of building the new bridge - designed to keep the single access road open during floods.
Sports complex faces 2 year delay
The much vaunted Bee Creek Sports Complex is now facing a delay of up to 2 years due to complications over who will supply water.
The 23 acre complex is at the junction of areas controlled by WTCPUA and Travis County MUDs 11, 12 and 13.
Travis County commissioner Gerald Daugherty claims moves are being made but the WTCPUA claims that any supply must have their permission and they have received no comunication. MUD 12 claims they have made contact.

Election approved
City Council gave the OK for a May 2nd election at their Jan 14 meeting. Kara King has already announced she is standing for Mayor to replace outgoing Monty Parker. Parker has endorsed King.
Also up for grabs are Mayor Pro Tem Bill Goodwin's seat and that of John Cobb but only Goodwin has confirmed he is standing as of today.
If King is elected Mayor, she will vacate her council seat. Her replacement will be selected by the Council until the next election in either November or May 2021.
