Lake Pointe student saved from choking
Lake pointe Elementary lunch monitor Kristi Gabel saved a school student by performing the Heimlich maneuver on him last week. The student was choking and the CPR trained staff member took several attempts to dislodge the food - causing some other students to think she was hurting the boy.
Play offs
LTHS Cavaliers played their first game in the post season against Rouse and defeated them by 54-7 on Thursday. Their next game will be in Bryan on Saturday the 22nd at 2pm - against Spring or Atoscocita whi play on Saturday the 15th.

Buckingham appointed to State Board
LTISD Trustee Dawn Buckingham was recently appointed by Rick Perry to the State Board for Educator Certification. She was appointed as vice chair.
Parks committee formation thwarted
Efforts spearheaded by Homestead resident Steve Albert to for a Parks and Trails Committee for Bee cave were rejected by City Council in a close vote.
