Martins Compounding & Wellness Pharmacies, owned by local Lakeway residents, Jim and Dorinda Martin opened Lake Hills Pharmacy at 12005 Bee Cave Rd, Suite 1-A in the Uplands Village Center on Monday, January 27, 2014.
Canopy Tours open for the season

Cypress Valley Canopy Tours is opening March 8th for their 2014 season and will be open the week of spring break. Their zip-line adventures have been attracting spring breakers from the local area and visitors from around the nation for 10 years.
New spa/salon

Wild Orchid Salon has announced a new salon and spa serving the Bee Cave and Lakeway communities.
Located at the corner of Ranch Road 620 and Falcon Head Boulevard, this be its second location. The new salon and spa will open with 6 styling stations, makeup bar, private treatment room and a comfortable reception area.
Texastar Kitchen closes down

Late January saw the closure of the Texastar Kitchen drive through on 620 as part of the clearing of the way for the new HEB complex there.
Construction starts at Apis in Spicewood

Construction started last week on the new Apis Restaurant and Apiary at the intersection of Highway 71 and Pace Bend Road. Expected to open later this year, Chef Taylor Hall's new place is starting to attract attention.
