Candidates and developer money
On January 28th we posed the following question on the BeeCaveBee on Facebook group:
"I am asking politely and publicly for all existing Council Members and Candidates to declare any past, present or anticipated campaign contributions or gifts received directly or indirectly from local developer Chris Milam and his companies. Thank you."
Mayor Murphy changes mind, announces retirement
Despite confirming just a few days ago that she intended to stand again as Mayor this year, Caroline Murphy this week announced her intention to step down in May and not stand for re-election. She took office in 2000.
New council candidate speaks out
Bee Cave City Council Candidate Jon Cobb (whose name we had spelled incorrectly last week) has started to outline his stance and policies.
Election action ramps up
As the May elections come closer another candidate has signed up to stand for City Council. Jon Cobb, who lives adjacent to The Homestead, has filed.
In additon Mayoral Candidate Monty Parker has started posing large road side posters supporting his campaign.
Bee Cave Library event
Bee Cave Library is presenting a lunch time event on Humor Writing featuring local writer Wend Aarons on February 7th.
