Best-selling author S. C. Gwynne will be the featured author for the 2015 LAKE TRAVIS READS, the “One Book, One Community” program now in its eighth year. Co-sponsored by Bee Cave Public Library, Lake Travis Community Library, and Spicewood Community Library, LAKE TRAVIS READS encourages the community to read from the acclaimed author’s body of work and then meet the author at a special evening event in February.

Nine year old Alex Hermann, a student at Lakeway Elementary, is recovering from being struck by lighting at the Field of Dreams.
Copter rescue
|
On Mondey the 24th the Bee Cave Police Department assisted Lake Travis Fire Rescue #603 rescue a local man who had fallen approximately 50 feet down a cliff while hiking in Bee Cave. The man, whose name will not be released, was in stable condition when Care Flight medical personnel transported him by helicopter to UMC Brackenridge.
