Dog park funding at Council tonight

Tonight there will be a Public Hearing to request funding for the "new" Bee Cave dog park. This hearing will be held at the City of Bee Cave City Hall. The new dog park is slated to replace the current park that was built in the area of a retention pond. With the addition of the new road and the failure of the pumps, the area has become more difficult to access, muddy and unsanitary. The proposed park is on the opposite side of the Parkway.

In May of this year Bee Cave became a "Home Rule" City and - as such - now has the ability to annex surrounding land (its "ETJ" or Extraterritorial Jurisdiction).

The Lake Travis school district is participating in a traffic study of two entrances into Lake Travis High School off FM 620 to alleviate traffic congestion.
