City confirms new Manager
Bee Cave City Council at a special July 31st meeting confirmed their new City Manager - James "Clint" Garza.
Garza was with Hays County for over 10 years, and was Executive Director of Countywide Operations and Chief of Staff to the Hays County Judge. He starts September 4th.
Mayor Monty Parker states on his facebook group:
"Mr. Garza will be an outstanding asset to our city, replacing current city manager Travis Askey, who advised us months ago that he was ready to do other things in life, but continued doing his job, patiently waiting for the vetting and interview process for his replacement to come to this point today. Travis has served us with the utmost distinction, competence and professionalism.
To say Travis will be missed is an understatement at best. We are exceptionally grateful for his leadership and guidance and we wish him success and happiness in his future endeavors. Mr. Garza will officially begin his duties on September 4, and Travis will continue working with him until such time we are all confident that the transition is complete.
There will be a meet and greet for Mr. Garza at a future date that will be announced in the coming weeks."
