Tax free weekend
Next weekend (August 9-11) is the usual annual "Tax Free" weekend in Texas.
The Hill Country Galleria is celbrating this with "hosting tax-free weekend with back-to-school deals and a sidewalk sale. Skip the overcrowded indoor mall on Tax Free Weekend and enjoy shopping season outside at the Hill Country Galleria, with covered walkways, outdoor seating and a splash pad for kids to enjoy."

Bee Cave Coffee Closes
Local businessman Chad Jones (owner of Chiso's) has announced - on his FaceBook page - the closure of his second business - Bee Cave Coffee in the HCG.
HCG continues to struggle with closures and empty units - sigificnatly the old Iron Cactus premises on the "green" remains empty well over a year after it was freed up.

Mural for Whole Foods
Hill Country Galleria has partnered with the Bee Cave Arts Foundation in search of an accomplished artist or artist team to design and paint a mural at 12601 Hill Country Blvd, Bee Cave Texas 78738, on the side of the Whole Foods Market building.
Backyard revised plan passed
Controvertial development "The Backyard" on Bee Cave Parkway has had a new development plan passed by Bee Cave City Council on March 26th.
Target closed by bomb scare
Tuesday March 26th saw the Target store off 620 in Bee Cave roped off as Police and Bomb Squad personnel looked for a bomb. The store was cleared later that evening but remained closed until Wednesday morning.
