South Western Travis County voters passed a vote to approve the creation of the new Southwestern Travis County Groundwater Conservation District this week - with a majority of almost 75%.
Austin to house homeless in Bee Cave Hotel? - Updated
Local TV station KXAN has posted documents from Austin City Council apperaing to show that they are considering buying Bee Cave's Mountain Lodge Hotel as one of 7 or more hotels that may be used to house the City's homeless.
Bee Cave to get a new Mayor
Despite May 2020 being a long way away, Bee Cave is already facing the choice of a new Mayor. Incumbent Monty Parker has announced he is not standing again and Council Member Kara King has already announced her candidacy. King has been on City Council for 6.5 years.

LRMC founders in $150MM+ Federal law suit
The founders of Lakeway Regional Medical Center, which was acquired "in extremis" by Baylor Scott and White, are under a new investigation into fraud by the DoJ. They claim the group made false claims and defrauded the government over the loans of almost $170mm in 2010.
It is charged that the group made fake claims about the number and value of physician contributions to the downpayment.
