Homestead divided over Low Water Crossing
At its February 12th meeting Bee Cave City Council heard prepared commentary from resident Steve Albert. This conflicts with reports from Council Member Marie Lowman that the vast majority of residents when polled said no to any bridge at the LWC.
Mayor Monty Parker's notes on Facebook state Albert said :
"regarding LWC, the city must have a plan to repair or replace the LWC; must plan to do so by 2022; counted 15 false statements during County meeting from those making comments;
$6.2million is inflated, 25 year bridge would cost $1.6 mm; the ranking used was not based on only one access point; the 2nd access road is welcomed.
Warning signals and systems are unlikely to be accepted; Vail Divide is urgently needed, has City washed its hands on this project?; see the project through."
