The Park at Bee Cave, litigation impact
The discussion about what can and will be built in the area behind the Baptist Church at the intersection of 620 and 71 is more complex than at first glance.
Annexation process begins
The City of Bee Cave Council voted on Tuesday the 9th on its intent to annex just over 100 acres of its ETJ - a power given to it in the May election by becoming a Home Rule City. Although the actual decision cannot be made until the September the 10th meeting, this vote sets up the public hearing stage of the process. The land is the lot on 71 that includes the planned Covert dealership. Annexation could not prevent the dealership being built but gives the City additional controls.
Shops get events go ahead
At the City Council meeting on July 9th, the Shops at the Galleria were given advance permission to continue holding their weekly Farmer's Market, the annual Bites of Bee Cave event and the go ahead for Lowes to fence off their gardening supply bulk storage in the back of the parking area.
RR 620 Closed Thursday 11th am
