WTCPUA to tighten pollution rules

The WTCPUA Board of Directors this week committed to protect water quality in the creeks and aquifers in the areas it serves. As an additional enforcement measure, the WTCPUA proposed putting in place a “Plat Note” for the subdivision plat review departments of Travis County, (Information courtesy of HPR Matters group)
Bee Cave moves to fix ordinance issues

Following the issues with the Terraces ordinances that impacted the Overstreet development and caused a law suit, the City moved at its April 24th meeting to engage outside council to investigate.
620 expansion - Bee Cave fronts $5MM

The Austin CAMPO Board is likely to approve $59MM towards an estimated cost of $98MM to widen 620 from 71 to Mansfield Dam at it next monthly meeting.
Both Lakeway and Bee Cave have agreed to contribute $5MM each. Bids are expected in 2020 but construction will not happen until 2022 at the earliest. The widening will make 620 a six lane road with a raised enter median and left turn lanes.

Early voting starts

Although the Mayor and two City Council seat holders are already known and stand unopposed, this week sees early voting in other local elections including the LTISD Board.
Voting runs from April 23rd through May 1st at Bee Cave City Hall and the Lakeway Randalls on 620 - both open from 7 am to 7 pm.
