New emergency system for City
This week saw a small budget approved by City Council to add a system called CodeRED to the existing CAPCOG system.
The new system will enable text and e-mail communications of emergencies and other situational updates to people who sign up through the City web site (starting July).
Sales Tax up 6%
Bee Cave City Sales Tax receipts were up 6% in May to just over $600,000 - slightly behind the Texas state increase of 7.9%. Lakeway was up 4% to almost $200,000.
Kline makes two meetings this week
Recently elected Councilman Paul Kline, from Falconhead West, attended both a special and a regular meeting of City Council this week - his first of his two year term.
